Terminology

Helpful definitions of terms used throughout the blog:

Smart Board- a series of interactive whiteboards developed by SMART Technologies

Software- the programs used to direct the operation of a computer, as well as documentation giving instructions on how to use them

Hardware- the machines, wiring, and other physical components of a computer or other electronic system

Serial Port- enables external modems to connect to a PC or network router via a serial cable

USB- universal serial bus, a connection technology for attaching peripheral devices to a computer, providing fast data exchange

Orientation- ensures your touch is registered accurately when using the interactive whiteboard. The orientation process aligns the projected image with the working area on the interactive whiteboard.
